A morning of serious inconvenience for commuters travelling on the regional train 4750 Cagliari-Oristano , which departed the Sardinian capital at 6.22 am, already about ten minutes late.
The convoy was blocked, around 7 am, near San Gavino due to a fault on the railway line.
The train remained stationary for approximately two hours, with passengers forced to wait on board without clear information on the departure time. Replacement buses, scheduled to cover the San Gavino-Uras route, arrived only around 9:00 a.m.
Once they reached Uras, however, the situation became confusing: passengers were initially asked to disembark and continue their journey on another train to Oristano, only to then be forced back onto the bus and then back onto the train.
At 9:22 the train finally left Uras for Oristano, using the same vehicle that had been stopped for hours in San Gavino.
Anger and discontent among the travellers.
