A pole felled by strong winds in Quartucciu, but no one is removing it: "A danger to cars and pedestrians."

A telephone pole knocked down by yesterday's strong winds is still there, obstructing and creating a clear danger on the road to San Getano, a hamlet in Quartucciu, along the old Orientale Sarda highway.

"It happened yesterday at lunchtime," a resident said. "I immediately reported the incident, but no one has done anything yet. It's a serious hazard for pedestrians and motorists, who are forced to walk under it because there's no alternative. Among them is an elderly woman and her daughter. We're just asking for this pole to be removed. It's currently held halfway up by telephone wires."
