A month after the disappearance of young Riccardo Licheri, sixteen-year-old son of the mayor of Ghilarza, his schoolmates remember him with a Memorial. A strong and dull pain, a death that came after a week of agony and hopes after the accident that happened on the main street of Ghilarza before the school year began.

"A month after our student's passing, his classmates decided to remember him by organizing a soccer tournament in his honor," reads the circular signed by Donatella Arzedi, headmaster of Mariano IV in Oristano, the school that Riccardo attended in the Ghilarza location.

The Memorial will be held on October 10th at the Ghilarza sports field from 8:30 to 13:30 and will involve all the students of the different branches of the Mariano IV Institute, both in Ghilarza and Oristano. After the roll call in the classroom, the students will be accompanied by the first-hour teachers to the sports field; six teams will compete in matches of about 20 minutes each. At mid-morning, during a break in the tournament, the team captains accompanied by the teachers of the Department of Motor Sciences will go to the cemetery to lay a bouquet of flowers on the grave of the young Riccardo, at the end of the tournament there will be awards and refreshments offered by the friends of the school.

"The first Memorial in honor of Riccardo is an initiative of great value , strongly desired by his schoolmates to remember a dear friend who left us too soon - we read in the circular -. It is for this reason that we hope for exemplary behavior from everyone, both on the field and in the stands so that the meaning and beauty of this event is always kept alive".
