The Buddusò community is deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic passing of our fellow citizen, Sebastiano Marrone, a young Carabiniere, aged just 23, who served at the San Severo Carabinieri station.
The statement from the Municipality of Buddusò has a composed and institutional tone, expressing mourning for the loss of the very young soldier who grew up in the Gallura community.
"The news of his loss has shocked us all, leaving a great void and profound pain. In this moment of immense sadness, we extend our sincere condolences to his family, his colleagues in the Carabinieri, and all those who were fortunate enough to know Sebastiano and share a part of his journey with him," the administration's statement continues.
Despite his young age, "Sebastiano embodied the highest values of service and dedication: a sense of duty, generosity, and helpfulness. He was a young man who loved his work and his community, and who, with his smile and kindness, knew how to make everyone love him. Buddusò has lost not only a public servant, but a beloved son, a young example of commitment and humanity. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and will continue to be a source of pride for our entire community."
The Carabinieri Corps joins the Municipality in expressing its condolences: "Commander General Salvatore Luongo and the entire Carabinieri Corps express their deepest condolences to the family of Carabiniere Sebastiano Marrone, who died today in a road accident in San Severo while on duty."
