The Public Prosecutor of Tempio Pausania, in Gallura, has opened a file still without suspects for injuries and failure to rescue the accident at sea that took place yesterday in the waters off the island of Tavolara , in front of Loiri Porto San Paolo , when a bather remained injured by the propeller of a dinghy that did not stop.

The investigations are still underway, but the conductor of the boat , tracked down almost immediately by the Coast Guard, risks being accused of not having assisted the swimmer and of the injuries caused to the man who is fortunately out of danger.

Witnesses present on the spot reported that the dinghy was sailing along the coast , at the height of Cala Finanza, at an apparently high speed .

The prosecutor also ordered the seizure of the vehicle .

"The accident is, unfortunately, only the latest in chronological order of a series of accidents that occurred due to failure to comply with the most basic safety rules for navigation and respect for bathing", says the Olbia Harbor Master's Office.
