A 49-year-old woman is brain dead after a head-on collision on the Olbia-Arzachena highway.

Tragic outcome of yet another road accident on the Olbia-Arzachena highway. A 49-year-old woman from Rimini, involved in a head-on collision and admitted to Olbia hospital, suffered irreversible injuries and was declared brain dead this afternoon. The tourist was traveling in a Citroen that, for reasons yet to be determined, collided head-on with a van.

The woman's family members were also in the small car; all were hospitalized but their injuries are not life-threatening. Unfortunately, the woman's injuries from the collision were irreversible. The investigation into the accident is ongoing and is being handled by the Olbia Highway Police.
