Starting Monday, student buses will once again travel along State Road 195, ending a long series of disruptions and delays that have affected hundreds of boys and girls attending schools in the capital this week . School administrators have reportedly been adamant about these delays, forcing families to write to Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara.
They come from Pula, Sarroch, Villa San Pietro, Capoterra, Domus de Maria and sign as "the parents of the students of the municipalities of Southern Sardinia affected by Cyclone Henry".
In recent days, students and families have been forced to take much longer alternative routes, passing through heavily congested urban areas, with significantly increased and unpredictable travel times, especially during rush hour. This situation has made it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to ensure punctual arrival at school, despite the commitment and diligence of families and students . We wish to emphasize that school administrators were informed of the current situation and initially offered reassurances regarding greater flexibility in managing delays. However, to our great regret, we note that delays—even minimal ones, of 5 or 10 minutes—have been regularly recorded in the electronic registers, with possible repercussions on students' academic progress .
Parents are asking for intervention to ensure that schools receive precise instructions in the future, along with "flexibility and common sense measures."
