Good performance by Niccolò Dessì and Alberto Sanna in the doubles draw of the Sardinia Open, the ATP 175 Challenger currently taking place on the clay courts of Tc Cagliari.
In the match that closed the day last night, the two champions of the host club, competing thanks to a wild card, lost 7-5, 6-0 against the third pair of the tournament, the one made up of the Indian Yuki Bhambri (number 56 in the world specialty ranking) and by the Portuguese Francisco Cabral (59 ATP). The two Cagliaritans played practically on equal terms for a set against their more experienced opponents.
Today, Bhambri and Cabral will challenge India's N.Sriram Balaji and Germany's Andre Begemann for a place in the semi-finals.
