Mattia Bellucci won the most anticipated Italian derby of the Sardinia Open tennis tournament in Cagliari, defeating Lorenzo Sonego 6-4, 1-6, 7-5. In the round of 16, he faced Gianluca Cadenasso, who defeated Lorenzo Carboni, who was reinstated in the Sardinian Open, 6-3, 6-1. Matteo Arnaldi advanced to face Federico Arnaboldi (6-7, 6-4, 6-2).
The promising Italian tennis player, Ciná, born in 2007 in Palermo, also had no chance: Juan Manuel Cerundolo defeated him in the third set (6-7, 6-4, 6-3). Andrea Pellegrino, on the other hand, defeated the Greek Stefanos Sakellaridis 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. Luca Potenza, on the other hand, failed to make it, losing 3-6, 6-7 to the American Alexandar Kovacevic.
