"I affirm on my honor that I have not been reached by any notice of guarantee and that indeed to exclude it I asked my lawyers to verify that there were no doubts". Tourism minister Daniela Santanchè said so during the information in the Senate Chamber on the situation and management of her companies, which ended up in the sights of an investigation by the TV show Report.

«A political instrumentalization is taking place against me. I'm here to defend my honor and that of my son. I am here because of the respect it owes to this place and to the citizens we represent,” added the minister in the classroom.

Again: " I have never appropriated anything that does not belong to me, I have never abused my top positions in companies, I challenge anyone to prove otherwise ". «I have resorted – continued Santanchè – to tools made available to all companies by the laws still in force. My restructuring project is much more virtuous than that of other companies in the same conditions. Being an entrepreneur and also a politician does not mean that he is prohibited from having recourse to the laws in force, I have not had favoritism but neither should there be an undue ad personam penalty».
