The irresistible jazz atmospheres continue to resonate on the Sulcis coast, now retracing the paths of two great artists: the summer itinerary of the fourth edition of " Lune-di Jazz " continues in Sant'Antioco , which – after having last hosted the digressions between free jazz and atonal music of the ImproTrio – returns with the homage to the legendary John Coltrane by the Offering quartet, on stage from 9pm on Monday 24th at The Beat Goes On! space in Corso Vittorio Emanuele 57 .

A new event for the series organized by OfficinAcustica , featuring the ensemble created by Cagliari guitarist Matteo Maccioni , with the aim of recovering the repertoire developed by the American saxophonist between 1961 and 1965. It was precisely in those years that Coltrane developed his own style through the filter of modal jazz , an approach that over the years would later be colored with spiritual inspirations, evident in the legendary albums " A Love Supreme " and " Crescent ". In this complex and profound work, Maccioni is joined by the young musicians and fellow citizens Massimo Spano (double bass), Caterina Monaco (piano) and Antonio Orrù (drums).

At the same time on Monday the 31st , it's time for a second tribute, dedicated to another great saxophonist: Joe Henderson . The Serenity project was born from the rediscovery and reinterpretation of his musical legacy, led by Laura J Marras (alto and soprano saxophone) and completed by other expert island jazz musicians, such as Francesca Corrias (vocals, flute and lyrics), Alessandro Di Liberto (piano and arrangements), Gabriele Loddo (bass) and Alessio Cogotti (drums and percussion). With freshness and spontaneity, Henderson's original melodies and harmonies become inspirations for creative reinterpretation , thanks to the strong artistic personalities at play and the great sonic complicity between them.
