The large mural in honor of Luigi Lai was inaugurated this afternoon in San Vito. The maestro, visibly moved, thanked everyone and played his beloved launeddas. The mural - commissioned by the municipal administration - was created by the artist Stefano Pani and is located in via delle Rondini, next to the square where there is the war memorial.

During the inauguration the players of launeddas and accordion of San Vito, the folk group and the singer Gabriella Cambarau performed. The evening was presented by Gabriele Congiu, author of a biography on Luigi Lai. The mayor Marco Antonio Siddi underlined that «San Vito really has its prophet in its homeland, thank you from the heart master».
