On Saturday, August 30th, starting at 8:00 PM, there's a new event at Santeru, the civic museum of San Vero Milis. The evening, hosted by Oristano director Antonello Carboni, features two award-winning short films by Sardinian directors, starring Elio Turno, Salvatore Cubeddu, and Daniele De Muro. Starting at 8:00 PM, an aperitif will be served in the museum's charming internal garden. While waiting for the screening, visitors can explore the exhibition at the Santeru museum and meet the directors and actors featured in the evening.

At 9:00 pm, a screening of Elio Turno and Salvatore Cubeddu's film, Island for Rent, will take place. Following its success and victory at the Visioni Sarde Festival, the new screening of Island for Rent will feature Salvatore Cubeddu, a film that draws on science fiction to offer strikingly timely insights into Sardinia, its present, and its future. At 9:30 pm, a screening of Horizon, Daniele De Muru's first short film, already selected by over 250 international film festivals, will take place. A devastating climate crisis, a desperate desire for salvation, and the law of the strongest reflect, also on the nature of humanity.

An evening dedicated to the magic of open-air cinema, transforming that vast white canvas into a vast window onto new worlds to be observed while enveloped in a blanket of stars. Admission is free for this event dedicated to talent, determined young people, and the island's visionaries: all set at Santeru, where reflections on the future can begin with observation and understanding of the past.
