The Puntaldia tourist hotel complex, born on the coast of San Teodoro , is 40 years old, thanks to the intuition and love for Sardinia of Peppino Fumagalli, one of the most important Italian entrepreneurs. Forty years that will be celebrated today by the family , who in his memory will screen the trailer of the documentary that traces the life of the industrialist, made by the director Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, and will donate to the Consortium a sculpture created by Pinuccio Sciola , which will be placed in the square of Puntaldia.

The work entitled "Vela" was presumably made between the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016, therefore it is one of Sciola's last works. Over 3 meters high, it is made using the Orosei “biancone” and is characterized by traces of processing, performed by hand and with a diamond disc, which simulate the movements of the waves. The best way to celebrate Puntaldia, a complex built with respect for the environment, while maintaining the characteristic natural beauties.

The houses and structures commissioned by the brothers Peppino, Niso and Enzo Fumagalli and built with a project by the architects Gampondi and Antonioli, are in fact inserted with discretion into the territory, respecting and marrying the harmony and shapes of the surrounding environment. The celebrations of the 40th anniversary of Puntaldìa will begin at 6 pm with the president of the Consortium, Carlo Di Biagio, the Fumagalli family and the local authorities.
