The ASL of Nuoro has reactivated the HIV clinic in the San Francesco hospital , an initiative that is part of a broader project to strengthen and remodel the healthcare activity of the Medical Area Department, directed by Mauro Pisano.
This reopening represents an important step in the strengthening of local health services , with a particular focus on the management of HIV and infections in general, in line with modern antimicrobial stewardship practices.
The clinic, located on the ground floor of San Francesco, will be a point of reference for patients already in charge, for new diagnoses and counseling services, also taking care of the psychological and informational aspect.
The reactivation of the HIV clinic is not limited to the clinical management of the virus, but is part of a broader program that includes the improvement of antimicrobial stewardship practices. This program aims to promote the optimal use of antimicrobials, a fundamental strategy to combat antibiotic resistance and improve the overall quality of healthcare.
