The leader of the League declares his closeness to the former US president re-nominated with the Republicans: "You might as well state what you think"

He has made no secret of it, but now Matteo Salvini declares his esteem and support for the Republican once again running for the White House. His statements arrive during the regional assembly of the League in Tuscany, in Montecatini Terme.
«I think I am the only party secretary between the government and opposition forces who can afford to say what we are saying. Because maybe someone else out of prudence says and doesn't say, thinking 'but who knows, then they'll accuse me'", continues government minister Meloni, "in these 30 years of militancy I have learned that they attack the League regardless. So you might as well say what you think and do what you say."
