Rugby World Cup, Italy trembles for 40 minutes then beats Uruguay
Azzurri trailed in the first half but won 38-17
After a nightmare first half, Italy's rugby team, trailing 7-17 at the end of the first 40 minutes of play, beat Uruguay 38-17.
A victory that gives the Azzurri the certainty of also being there at the 2027 World Cup in Australia and, thanks to the bonus point, the temporary primacy in group A, the same one that includes France and New Zealand.
And the All Blacks will be the next opponents of Lamaro and his teammates on Friday 29 September in Lyon in what will be yet another impossible challenge for coach Kieran Crowley's team.
In the meantime , we must enjoy the success against Uruguayan "Los Teros" in what, just as Crowley had predicted, was a real physical battle. In which, however, in the second half the Azzurri imposed their technical-tactical superiority, making up for the errors of the first half.
