Sensational transfer news from the United States. Ronaldinho is returning to the pitch, and he's doing so in Italy, starting again in Serie C.
The 46-year-old Brazilian champion has decided to join Ravenna, led by president Ignazio Cipriani. The deal will be made official with a big event in Miami on June 23 .
The Gazzetta dello Sport reported the news.
"I can't wait to get back to dancing on the ball and write a new story together with Ignazio and the entire Cipriani family. Football has always been a source of joy for me, and I want to bring the same spirit to Ravenna ," declared the Brazilian champion.
"Acquiring Ronaldinho is absolutely extraordinary for the club: he was my idol and his impact on football goes beyond what he did on the pitch," said President Cipriani.
Ravenna narrowly missed out on promotion last year, but now they're ready to start over again, with a legend of the sport returning to the Serie C pitch.
