Lorenzo Musetti and Jasmine Paolini reach the round of 16 at Roland Garros .
The tennis player from Carrara suffered for a set and a half against the tough Argentine Mariano Navone , but he came out on top in the long run and dominated the last two sets, winning with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 in just under three and a half hours.
The Tuscan world number 7 will face the Danish Holger Rune , tenth in the ATP ranking, who defeated the Frenchman Quentin Halys in the fifth and decisive set.
Paolini instead beat the Ukrainian Yuliia Starodubtseva in two sets, with a score of 6-4, 6-1 . The world no. 4 took eight games to get the measure of her rival, fished out in the draw as a lucky loser. From 4 all, with a real monologue, she obtained her ninth consecutive victory, between Rome and Paris.
Tomorrow, Saturday 31st, it's the turn of Jannik Sinner, who will be playing against the Czech Lehecka, and Flavio Cobolli, who will challenge the German Zverev, number 3 in the world .
