Good performance by Lorenzo Carboni, who in the second round of the Roland Garros junior draw beats 16-year-old Czech Maxim Mrva, number 8 on the draw (top ten junior and 1346 ATP) 6-2, 6-3.
The 18-year-old from Alghero (705 ATP and now without the ITF under-18 ranking, having not played youth tournaments for more than a year) will challenge the 18-year-old French Mae Malige in the round of 16. The transalpine has a similar situation to Carboni, not being present in the under ranking, but already arriving at box 740 in the ATP ranking.
