The first of four possible finals for Italy at Roland Garros has been reached.

Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori qualified for the last round of the men's doubles tournament, defeating the world number 1 pair formed by the Indian Rohan Bopanna and the Australian Metthew Ebden in the semifinals with a score of 7-5, 2-6 , 6-2.

A historic result, since 1959 an all-Italian couple had not reached the last act of the Parisian Slam.

In the afternoon Jasmine Paolini is involved in the doubles semi-final against the 17 year old Russian Mirra Andreeva.

Tomorrow it's the turn of the women's doubles Errani-Paolini, against Kostyuk-Ruse and, finally, the new world number 1 in the ATP ranking Jannik Sinner, who meets Carlos Alcaraz in a highly anticipated match.
