For the next regional elections the center-right is counting on the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu. This is the outcome of the long table held at Palazzo Tirso in Cagliari, which concluded late in the evening.

«The table of the centre-right, civic, autonomist coalition - we read in the final note of the FdI coordinator Antonella Zedda - today identified, by a large majority, that of the Mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu as a candidate for the position of President of the Region which has received the approval of the political forces who ask the first party of the coalition to assume the responsibility of indicating the next candidate for President".
«Today's work at the regional table - we read again - is important and decisive for the purposes of the definitive choice, and in the next few hours it will lead to the formalization of the candidacy for the office of governor on which all the national and regional political forces of the center right will converge, sharing together commitment and energy for the benefit of the Sardinians and Sardinia."

Lega and Psd'Az, adamant about continuity with the outgoing governor Christian Solinas, remain on the sidelines: they have not signed the agreement and are awaiting the final decision in Rome . The secretary of the Psd'Az even showed up at the meeting with representatives of two lists that would have supported him if he had been the candidate: "Solinas president" and "Sardi al centro".

«The table recorded a series of diversified positions – said Solinas when leaving the meeting -. Brothers of Italy at a regional level expressed their opinion on Truzzu, others expressed their opinion in favor of continuity, as did the League. There will therefore be a further transition to the national table, I hope already tomorrow."
