No news on the 2024 regional elections front, with the delegates of the Sardinian centre-right political forces not taking a position on the names of the candidates . Gathered at the Flora hotel in Cagliari, on the occasion of the third meeting of the table, the second on the program, they had no doubts about the path to follow: «The national and regional tables will decide», they repeat in unison.

The provocation comes from Antonello Peru , delegate of the Big Center at the summit, who has nominated himself: «From Rome we are hearing that there is a bit of confusion , there are those who say that the outgoing presidents don't touch each other and there is who says that based on popular investiture they should be others. But if the criterion is that of popular investiture, for example, the undersigned has always been the most voted, has always involved more people in the streets, the choice would be automatic. But we think that the best candidate should be chosen in a shared manner at a regional table in which there are authoritative representatives of the national acronyms."

Fausto Piga does not comment on Fdi's push for Paolo Truzzu, and speaks of the program whose basic guidelines will be decided today and then submitted to the secretaries of the parties: «We are not starting from scratch, there are the foundations of this legislature, more than make a list of the problems that need to be improved, we must be convinced of how to do it. We must always put sharing and a common path at the center to achieve an objective: to have a Sardinia worthy of the Sardinians." For the League - as underlined by Ivan Cermelli - we must "start again from the issues that were brought to the table five years ago and which have not yet been completed, such as healthcare and transport". On the farewell of former councilor Mario Nieddu from the party, in controversy over the management of relations with the allies of the Psd'Az, Cermelli wishes his colleague well and specifies that "the League has not contracted anything to anyone: it has made an agreement programmatic with the Psd'Az and claims that agreement made five years ago, now that agreement must be carried forward". For the Sardinians, represented by Mario Carboni , the program must rest its foundations on new claims with the State, in particular on the subject of differentiated autonomy and premiership. As regards the name of the candidate, the answer is obvious: "If the horse runs well it shouldn't be changed".
