Regionali 2024, Donzelli (FdI): "The automatism of the re-nomination of outgoing presidents no longer exists"

"No foreclosure, nor choices already made, it is true that after the Sicily case there is no longer the automatic criterion for re-nomination of outgoing presidents ". The deputy and head of organization of the Brothers of Italy Giovanni Donzelli said this with regard to the 2024 regional elections in Sardinia, who this morning in Cagliari spoke at the inauguration of the school of politics of the Sardinian reformatories.

Then, he added during a political breakfast with the regional managers of FdI to launch the 2023 membership, " with serenity, together with the allies, we will choose the best candidate for governor possible, without thinking of anything other than the good of Sardinian citizens ".

The theme of the next regional elections will probably be on the agenda of the centre-right table convened by the president Christian Solinas for Monday at 12 at Villa Devoto. Certainly the next spring administrations will be discussed, and perhaps also the appointment of the five general directorates left vacant after the revocation of the functions decided last night in the Giunta . In fact, the managing directors of the Special Office of the Management Authority of the Eni Cbc Basin of the Mediterranean programme, of the Presidency of the Region, of General Affairs, of the Regional Procurement Center and of Urban Planning and Building Supervision have not been confirmed. But the new Director General of Transport should also be indicated, considering that Gabriella Massidda has received the position of Secretary General of the Region.

On the appointment of Massidda , meanwhile, the regional deputy coordinator of Forza Italia Emanuele Cera said that «a better choice could not have been made in this difficult moment. Dr. Massidda is a guarantee of competence, undisputed professional and mediation skills, as well as being "stripped" of any partisan political reference , I hope and I am sure, that she can give the necessary impulse and support to the administrative action of the junta and the president and can become a valid interlocutor and a certain point of reference for all regional institutional levels".
