Regional elections, Truzzu: «We need a right-wing guide»

There are three months to go until the regional elections and the center-right is still looking for a presidential candidate. There are three next steps: the definition of the program, the boundaries of the coalition and, finally, the synthesis.
Yesterday in Nuoro Paolo Truzzu issued a warning: «Unity is fundamental, but the burden of building the coalition lies with us at the Brothers of Italy».
A jolt to the center-right that came from the Eurohotel conference room. The mayor of Cagliari has not hidden his desire to lead the Region, to get involved. A new threat for the outgoing governor Christian Solinas, who was all in all reassured after his participation in the coalition table on Friday in Cagliari, convened by the Brothers of Italy. And if just two days ago Solinas made it clear that he still felt he was in the running for the leadership of the Region, from Barbagia Truzzu reiterated his and his party's position. With detailed reasons: «The burden and responsibility of leading the Island falls to us, not to others. Because even if we don't have the candidate, and I don't want to believe it, we will be the center-right party with the largest number of regional councilors."
So now it remains to be seen whether his opposition to Solinas comes back into play in the designation horizon.
