A result obtained thanks also to the profuse commitment in Europe of President Christian Solinas who, in these years of legislature, has led Sardinia to have an increasingly central role among the Mediterranean countries and islands ”.

"The cooperation of the European Regions and non-European countries bordering the Mediterranean - he added - is not only an exceptional driving force for economic development and the opening of new channels of trade and tourism, but it is also the best way to cultivate relations and peace in mutual respect ".

During the two days in Izmir, highly topical issues such as climate-related problems, the reduction of poverty and inequalities, the creation of more inclusive and resilient cities, tourism developments and the need to strengthen political-economic ties between the various states. There are 40 who join the Arlem, and the last to be included was North Macedonia which will debut in Sardinia next year.

An opportunity that, concluded Pais, “will represent an immense showcase that will project the island in over forty European and non-European countries . A great promotion opportunity that, I am sure, the Sardinians will be able to appreciate ”.
