The former councilor and former vice president of the Solinas Council Alessandra Zedda, a member of Forza Italia, withdraws her candidacy as "independent" governor and returns to the ranks of the center-right in view of the regional elections on 25 February.

A decision that came after the League also gave the green light to support the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu as a presidential candidate.

«I took to the field to offer the centre-right, in a moment of stalemate and confusion, a proposal for guidance for the Sardinia region coming from civil society and in particular from the Anima di Sardegna Association», explains Zedda. Adding: «In light of Paolo Truzzu's appeals and the newfound unity of the coalition, however, I believe it is important to offer the center-right a gesture of generosity and withdraw my candidacy for president».

«In the last few hours I had the opportunity to speak with the mayor of Cagliari and share some programmatic points dear to me: the risk of water privatization and the consequent cost cut in the bills of Sardinians; support for general practitioners who are now lacking throughout the region but especially in the peripheral and more internal municipalities; the search for energy sovereignty without sacrificing our territories and compromising life in our communities - continues Alessandra Zedda - Together with Anima di Sardegna, which will not present its own list, I will support the united centre-right because I believe it is still the best guide to offer to the our Sardinia".
