Today marks the first birthday of this legislature . " There is little to celebrate ," said opposition councilors in the Chamber during the general discussion of the ten billion euro budget .

For the President of the Assembly Piero Comandini it was «an intense first year, at times complicated because we faced problems such as the energy transition that saw us engaged in a difficult relationship with the State . But it is certainly a year in which we have shown that we want to represent the new will of the Sardinian people to address the issues by trying to involve the minority as well».

And on the budget law under discussion: « The fourth month of provisional exercise is more of a technical aspect, but the important thing is the political choices in this budget that will try to intervene on the important aspects of our Island, I think of the single fund, of craftsmanship, and the issue of freeing up resources to use them where needed». For the FdI group leader Paolo Truzzu « celebrating the first year with a fourth month of provisional exercise is not a good omen but rather the testimony of the inconclusiveness of this majority ».

The general discussion is underway in the Chamber: the debate will continue throughout the day and will continue tomorrow afternoon until the vote on the passage to the articles. The deadline for the presentation of amendments in the Budget Committee is set for Monday. The Chamber will return on Tuesday with the majority's goal of approving the Budget before Easter .
