The candidate for president of the Region for the centre-right must be chosen in Sardinia. After the Great Centre, the Reformers also contest the methods used by the Roman secretariats - with the compliance of the island ones - to identify the name to put on track for the conquest of Villa Devoto in the next legislature.

The regional coordinator of the party founded by Massimo Fantola, Aldo Salaris, wrote to the national leaders of the coalition parties. Recipients: Matteo Salvini (Lega), Giorgia Meloni (FdI), Antonio Tajani (FI) and Maurizio Lupi (We, moderates). The summary of the letter: «The identification of the next presidential candidate , if the center-right wants to win the next regional elections, must necessarily pass through Sardinia». According to the Reformers we are talking about an "entirely Sardinian choice, to be made in Sardinia by Sardinians, taking into account the particularities that characterize the Island".

Salaris writes the decision must take into account «the particular political situation, which cannot be ignored. Sardinia, as you well know", he maintains, addressing the leaders, "boasts a variety of regional movements and parties of considerable importance which do not have national representation but which, thanks to their roots in the territory which have few equals in other regions of 'Italy, they represent a fundamental part of breakfast. Among these, the Sardinian Reformers are not only 'founding members' of the center-right on the island but have always been one of the most solid pillars of the coalition".

The future of Sardinia «is heavily conditioned by being the European island furthest from the continent and this, even today, despite the constitutional amendment that introduced the principle of insularity into the Charter, is treated as if it were a uniquely Sardinian problem, and not an issue that concerns the national community."

If we start from this basis, the Reformers are ready to work towards coalition building. The message stops here and does not go as far as the veiled warning that arrived yesterday from Tramatza, where the Great Center of Stefano Tunis and Antonello Peru met, which brought forward a claim of the same tenor. With an addition: "It would be a serious mistake to underestimate us."
