Most are fighting. A heated social media feud is raging between Mariaelena Motzo , former councilor for General Affairs , and Sebastian Cocco , the current councilor for Uniti con Todde, who took her place on March 13th. The dispute is over a recently approved resolution . "To be intellectually honest and fair, you should say it's not your proposal. You found it ready to go, like so many other initiatives," Motzo writes.

Cocco doesn't react well: "The resolution was revised several times before it could be approved. The version I found had, not surprisingly, been on hold since December ." But what the current councilor doesn't accept is Motzo's talk of intellectual honesty and fairness: "I will decide to use up the last remnants of human compassion toward those who, not being fully aware of themselves, continue to confuse the defense of their ego with that of their dignity, thus slipping disastrously into the ridiculous. Like now. Even though one should never do good if one isn't prepared for ingratitude."

At the start of the legislature, Motzo had been appointed councilor precisely on the recommendation of Uniti per Todde. But her relationship with the then group leader, Cocco, gradually deteriorated. This led to the rift that led President Todde to revoke Motzo's mandate and choose Cocco as her successor.
