An international overview of the creative documentary and films selected from the main European film libraries. The documentary film and photography festival “Asincronie”, organized by the 4CaniperStrada association, with the support of the Region of Sardinia and the Foundation of Sardinia, returns to the mining village of Argentiera (Sassari).

It starts on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 April in reruns, at 8.45pm with the documentary by Ukrainian director Alina Gorlova "This Rain Will Never Stop". Shot with a striking black and white photograph by Viacheslav Tsvietkov, the film is a portrait of the diaspora of a family through the character of the young Andriy, a Kurdish father and Ukrainian mother, who fled the Syrian civil war to find himself in the midst of the war of the Donbass. It won the Festival dei Popoli 2020 and will be screened in the original version with Italian subtitles.

The event is the preview of the "Asincronie" festival which, before the high point of August, foresees between April and May, in collaboration with the Spazio Bunker, film screenings that draw a journey into the gaze of contemporary directors who - in different eras - tell the story of humanity surprised by war, its resistance, the struggle for their land and the pursuit of happiness.

Wednesday 13 April, again at 8.45 pm, homage to the great director Gianfranco Rosi with the screening of the film "Boatman", one of his first works, perhaps the least known, shot in India on the banks of the Ganges.
