Another event for the ninth edition of Le Meraviglie del Possibile , the International Festival of Theater, Art and New Technologies organized and curated in Cagliari by Kyber Teatro with the artistic direction of Ilaria Nina Zedda and Marco Quondamatteo . #DigitalTraditions is the theme chosen this year for the festival—increasingly dedicated to Gen Z and connected to contemporaneity—on stage in Cagliari at the Spazio Domosc (via Newton 12).
On Saturday, November 8th , after the matinee for schools, at 9 pm, the multimedia theater show Ai<3 will be performed. The show is produced by the Marche-based company Pallaksch, with dramaturgy by Federico Mattioli, who will be on stage alongside Angelo Callegarin, Elena Orsini, and Alma Poli (video and sound design by Dario Sidoti). The spotlight will be on a highly topical and much-discussed topic these days: sexuality education and the relationship between young people and pornography.
Ai<3 reflects on these very issues through artificial intelligence. In today's world, which allows free access to any type of information and content via the internet, sexuality and the construction of sexual imagery are deeply informed by pornographic narratives, in the representations of roles and power dynamics, as well as in the images.
But porn remains a taboo subject, excluded from family education and beyond, yet it has permeated the collective imagination of our society, especially among generations raised online. Many young people lack, in their daily lives, within family or friends, a safe space for discussion and discussion in which to discuss such a complex and multifaceted issue. This space can be created by the intersection of performance art, artificial intelligence, and social inquiry. The performance was preceded yesterday (Friday the 7th) by the AiLOVE talk, also presented by the Pallaksch company, aimed at young people in schools and conceived as a moment of preparation and critical openness to the issues addressed.
