"The philosophy of suca", the writer and TV author Francesco Bozzi presents his book in Cagliari

The writer , screenwriter , radio and television author Francesco Bozzi arrives in Cagliari to present his book "The philosophy of suca", a modern and irreverent Sicilian Platonic dialogue.

Appointment on Saturday 15 April in the morning (from 9 am) at the Dettori high school , where Bozzi, who is also the historical author of the showman Rosario Fiorello, will meet the students in a dialogue together with the professors Luisa Mereu, professor of History and Philosophy, and Donatella Nardi, professor of Latin and Greek, and to Professor Simone Mereu, professor of Art History.

«Every philosopher thought it - the note accompanying the volume -, even if maybe he didn't say it (or he said it in another language): suca. It is in fact the philosophical argument par excellence , because it has many meanings and can therefore be profitably inserted into different conceptual systems. Throughout history, it has been able to inspire Descartes the first (and best) version of his famous Cogito. To seduce Wittgenstein with its sharpness, which came close to the dream of a language that perfectly adheres to reality. And it is not only a central concept for the culture of the past, but also a tool for designing a future of harmony between peoples. Francesco Bozzi, a Sicilian and therefore a philosopher, faces in this book the enterprise of dissecting the various souls of the suca , restoring its many ideal and social, historical and psychological nuances. It does so by renewing the great tradition of philosophical dialogue, pace Plato. And with conceptual rigor and vis humor, he accompanies us to the discovery of a magic word that has changed history and can change our lives».

The morning round table will then be re-proposed in the evening in the Search room of the Municipality of Cagliari .

The desire to share the event at the city level arises both from the particular nature of the event, in which the anthropological and cultural aspects of the two large islands, Sicily and Sardinia, are compared, half-jokingly, and because the meeting it is the first, pilot, of a project being studied for the next school year, "Dettori and the City" , which the high school proposes to the city, with which it wishes to dialogue and share its initiatives of general interest for the area.
