The first events of the 44th "La Notte dei Poeti" Festival , organized by CeDAC – Circuito Multidisciplinare dello Spettacolo dal Vivo in Sardegna , have been moved to a new venue. Due to ongoing technical issues with the Nora archaeological site, the performances scheduled for July 16, 17, and 18 will be moved to the "Maria Carta" Theater in Pula.

"We wish to inform you that the technical issues relating to the preparation of the Nora archaeological site, designated for the performances of the forty-fourth edition of the Festival, remain unresolved," reads the official statement from CeDAC. "While we emphasize that CeDAC Sardegna has no involvement in these issues, we inform our audiences that it has been necessary to relocate today, tomorrow, and Saturday's performances to the Maria Carta Theater in Pula."

The air-conditioned theater has a different seating arrangement than that planned for Nora. The organizers will therefore reassign the seats, striving, wherever possible, to ensure similar arrangements to those originally purchased, thus minimizing disruption to spectators. Tickets already issued will remain valid for the new venue; those who do not wish to attend the performances at the theater can request a refund by July 25, 2026 , or choose to use their ticket for another Festival event.

The mayor of Pula, Walter Cabasino , and the president of the Pula Cultura Foundation , Andrea Boi , underline that «we are trying to remedy the technical problems as quickly as possible, in order to bring the Festival back to its natural location within the archaeological area of Nora».

The "Maria Carta" Theatre will therefore be the setting for the inaugural triptych of the event, dedicated to the encounter between music and words: on Thursday 16 July "Bent'e Mari" will be performed with Elena Ledda and Roberto Taufic ; tomorrow it will be the turn of "Dell'Amore, della Guerra e degli Ultimi – Canzoni e Pensieri di Faber" with Stefano Fresi ; while on Saturday 18 July "Il Re dei Ciarlatani – Le canzoni di Dario Fo" will make its national premiere , with Jacopo Fo , Elena Pau (vocals) and Alessandro Nidi (piano), in a tribute to the great playwright, accompanied by Manuel Romei (trombone), Alessandro Atzori (double bass), Pierpaolo Frailis (drums) and Enrico de Angelis as narrator.
