"I will be there, outside the stadium, as a good resident of Sardinia". Nicola Riva, son of Gigi, who in Cagliari football has the task of "promoting the image and values of the club", calls the Sardinians to action in view of Empoli-Cagliari, an away match forbidden to residents of Sardinia, who will not be able to buy tickets by decision of the Prefecture.
But there are those who support Cagliari and do not live on the island. And Riva addresses these people: "For all non-residents of Sardinia and Cagliari fans, come to Empoli, we need you. There are many fans outside Sardinia and they will be the ones to support us and fill the void of the fans unjustly excluded", he says.
Then he added that he too will be outside the Castellani. Like other Sardinians who, according to the word of mouth on social media and elsewhere, have gathered in the stadium parking lot to stage a peaceful protest on the occasion of a crucial match for survival.
