A special evening at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari with the 2025 New Year's Eve concert scheduled for Wednesday, December 31st at 6:00 pm . This great musical event is part of a new and prestigious cultural project entitled "Sardinia meets Qatar: the song of the two seas." The show will have no intermission and will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes . At the end of the concert, the audience will be able to toast the new year together with all the artists in the foyer.

The 2025 New Year's Concert , organized under the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia , in collaboration with the Sciola Foundation for the granting of the Pietre Sonore and the "Musica è Cultura" association , aims not only to offer a concert that enhances Sardinian cultural identity, but also to inaugurate a new era of cultural and institutional relations with Qatar , a strategic partner for future cooperation projects. The concert represents the first official event in the new cultural collaboration between the Sardinia Region and the State of Qatar, a country with which significant institutional discussions are underway in the tourism, cultural, and transportation sectors.

The event is the first step in a broader strategy of cultural and commercial exchange, capable of generating mutual benefits , positioning Sardinia at the center of a new international exchange network , raising the quality of the regional cultural offering , and contributing to the growth of the tourism and creative sectors . The musical program of “Sardinia meets Qatar: the song of the two seas” will be equally divided between the fascinating sounds of Sardinian tradition and the Arabian atmospheres of Qatar . The orchestra and choir of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari will perform together , conducted by Giovanni Pasini , born in Cagliari and now based in Qatar. Pasini is principal viola of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and conducts the country's leading orchestras and choirs. The evening's other performers are: Riccardo Pinna (choirmaster), Dana Al Fardan (composer and singer-songwriter), Anna Tifu (violin), Gavino Murgia (saxophone), Marcello Peghin (guitar), Daniele Russo (drums), Francesco Savoretti (percussion), Peppe Frana (oud), the “Fijiri” percussion ensemble from Qatar , Alice Marras (vocals), Maria Sciola (sound stones), and Andrea Granitzio (sound stones and piano). The performances will create a unique context of intercultural dialogue between the Mediterranean and the Arab-Persian Gulf .
