The great dance returns to the stage of the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari with the beloved "Romeo and Juliet" , a ballet in three acts set to music by Prokofiev which won the hearts of the public. The perfection of gestures and classical elegance are presented to the public in via Sant'Alenixedda with a modern sensibility on the occasion of a special evening in the company of the stars of the Prague National Theatre .

Inspired by Shakespeare's homonymous tragedy , the immortal and famous love story of two unfortunate Veronese lovers, the title has met with great success. This evening at 7 pm, for the first of seven performances, the male and female dancers of the prestigious corps de ballet and the Soloists of the National Theater of Prague "Národní Divadlo" will perform under the spotlights.

The version proposed in Cagliari is that of John Cranko , sets and costumes by Jürgen Rose. "A creation from the 1950s, first performed by Carla Fracci in Venice with the corps de ballet della Scala, which still remains very current", recalls the expert Elisa Guzzo Vaccarino .

The acclaimed Alina Nanu as Juliet and Paul Irmatov as Romeo performed the two main roles. The Orchestra was conducted by Václav Zahradnik . The one with the two young lovers is the sixth appointment of the Season which will close with the highly anticipated West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein scheduled from December 15th.
