On Sunday at 6 pm, a great classic by the La Botte e il Cilindro company, " Puss in Boots," returns to the Cine Teatro Astra in Sassari. This theatrical version is based on Perrault's fairy tale, which addresses the themes of friendship, ingenuity, luck, and irony.
The show consists of a frame and the actual story: the frame, created with puppets, serves the narrative function of introduction and epilogue typical of the style of the writer Charles Perrault, and allows for the introduction of Perrault himself and a Mother Goose, which obviously derives from the title of the collection of fairy tales "The Tales of Mother Goose." The story, on the other hand, is performed by actors (some with masks, others without) and retraces, often in a parodistic manner, the key moments of the famous tale, with a comical emphasis on the figures of the king, his daughter the princess, and an unlikely all-purpose servant: doorman, guard, cook, chancellor, coachman, tailor, and porter, as well as the princess's trusted and secret advisor.
Written and directed by Pier Paolo Conconi. On stage are Luisella Conti, Bianca Maria Lay, Antonella Masala, Stefano Chessa, and Consuelo Pittalis. Sets are by Virginia Melis, costumes by Luisella Pintus, lighting design by Paolo Palitta, stagecraft and sound by Michele Grandi , masks and puppets by Andrea Deledda and Giommaria Manunta.
The show is part of the 36th edition of “Famiglie a Teatro”.
