Whoever does it himself makes five. Gaetano Ventriglia plays Othello, Iago, Desdemona, Rodegiro and Cassio in a highly original show that has been receiving acclaim from the public and critics for 16 years .

The Apulian actor now also arrives in Sassari with his famous " Othello, get up and walk ": the appointment is for Friday and Saturday at 9pm in the Spazio Bunker in via Porcellana 17/A.

The Apulian actor, highly praised also by Ascanio Celestini, brings to the stage his very personal rereading of Shakespeare's classic, touching on different registers, farce, drama, yearning, high and low, and using the evocative power of the linguistic amalgam created by Ventriglia himself mixing Italian, Venetian, Foggia and macaronic English.

His rereading of Shakespeare's drama becomes " an opportunity for reflection on the truth of the existential condition, a truth that is stratified on multiple levels, and of the human being" . Truth of the meaning of being on stage. The truth of a classic and its descent into the human soul. The truth of the condition of man, of his ideals and sense of beauty, of his daily suffering, of the meaning of life, of how it is traversed and lived."

The show is included in the program of the “Theaters in danger of extinction” program organized by Meridiano Zero Teatro.
