"Dear Union,
we are in a state that has two weights and two measures. The judges who applied the law by complying with the regulations and condemned Mimmo Lucano are good, those judges who too easily absolve our politicians of serious crimes that have caused the country significant losses of public money and image to other nations are not good.
A mayor of a small reality burdened by an invasion of emigrants who somehow found himself forced to manage was sentenced.
Mimmo Lucano with his 'soften the laws' had given new life to a deserted land destined to become extinct, where small shops had reopened, urban cleaning had become a flagship, the elderly had found the right assistance.
A model of prudent management of migrants which was also discussed abroad and then attacked by a smear campaign and inflexible justice.
