The Author's Dance Festival arrives in Alghero. On Friday 22 September at 8pm , "Corpi in motion" will bring the Campanian company Borderline Danza to the Teatro Civico of Alghero with its "Carosello e skin#2", followed by the Alghero-based Arte & Movimento Gildanza, which will perform on stage in " Super heroes".
“Carousel and skin#2” is a show freely inspired by Roman Polanski's masterpiece Carnage, to highlight the human in his purest state, free from any limitation and capable of expressing his ideas with absolute honesty.
The direction and choreography by Claudio Malangon and, performed by Adriana Cristiano, Giada Ruoppo, Alessandro Esposito, Pietro Autiero with the virtual scenography by Francesco Petrone , characterize the strength of the staging through the four contenders who ally themselves, clash, they move away and then find unsuspected reasons to get closer again .
Everything is brought to the stage with a strong impact dynamism, breaking down the space, moving from more orderly and canonical locations to unpredictable angles, fragmenting the scene in order to visually convey the crumbling of relationships.
Borderline Danza is a dance production organization founded and directed by the dancer and choreographer Claudio Malangone in 1998. The company is made up of a stable group of dancers who develop a work of dramaturgical and choreographic research through a decoding of languages, trying to deconstruct movement thanks to one's capacity for introspection and inventiveness.
The objective is to analyze the language of the body, merging or confusing it through the senses with materials coming from technology and visual arts, music and theatre. “Carosello e skin#2” is co-produced with the Linea d'Ombra Festival and with the support of MIC and the Campania Region.
Immediately afterwards, the students of the modern dance course of Arte & Movimento Gildanza will put on a show, who will stage " Superheroes " choreographed by Elena Sandroni . The superheroes represented here are those who help us overcome difficult moments, but they are not the same ones seen in films, but rather ordinary people who, even with the simple gesture of a hug, are able to save those around them.
In the authors' idea, the work is structured following a binomial of perception of the world, divided into concrete and abstract . However, to be able to grasp abstract emotions, those that are in the deepest part of the soul, we need to let go and put the senses aside.
The “Bodies in motion – XX edition” festival is organized by the Danzeventi association of Sassari with the support of the Mic, the Sardinia Region, the Sardinia Foundation and the Alghero Foundation, the municipalities of Alghero, Ittireddu and Sennori, and the Baretto Eventi of Porto Iron.
