Twenty-one black and white shots to tell the inhabitants, the narrow streets and houses of the historic center of Sassari between the end of the 70s and the early 80s of the twentieth century.

The exhibition of the photographer Salvatore E. Masala entitled "The heart of the historic center" will be inaugurated on Thursday 27 April at 7 pm in the Spazio Bunker of Sassari, a corpus of unpublished photographs taken in the years 1977-1985 in the Sassari districts . The exhibition will be open until May 26, from Monday to Friday .

The exhibition project, curated by 4CaniperStrada and in collaboration with Ogros Fotografi Associati, is part of the preview events of the fourth edition of Asincronie - Festival of Documentary Cinema and Photography , which for several years has hosted and organized screenings of documentary films, photographic and meetings with authors.

Salvatore Masala offers a personal and biographical look at the historic center of Sassari in 21 black and white photographs, where he was born and lived until his adolescence. He returns twenty years later and with a camera, he walks through the streets, looking for the inhabitants of the neighborhoods in the corners and in the foreshortenings, to take away the memories of his childhood and fix his social gaze on the daily life of the Sassari of those years.
