"Aka Danno – Sardegna Chapter" Behind the Scenes of Hip Hop

After the documentaries "Profondo Nero" and "Lontano dal centro – Cantico errante di un Dj senza tempo" produced by Francesco Pili, the Sardinian director Roberto Pili returns to tell the story of hip hop culture with "Aka Danno – Sardegna chapter", the new documentary short film dedicated to Simone "Danno" Eleuteri , a symbolic figure of Italian rap and historic member of Colle Der Fomento .

An artistic partnership built over the years that has led Pili and Eleuteri to collaborate on various projects, always with the aim of telling hip hop in its most authentic and human dimension .

Available from today on the director's YouTube channel, "Aka Danno – Sardegna Chapter" follows Danno, Dj Craim and Suarez (Gdb) during their stay in Sardinia for the Back2Roots Festival, which took place on July 4, 2026 in Campidarte, Ussana.

A behind-the-scenes journey through silences, reflections, encounters, and details often invisible to the public, starting with the arrival in Cagliari and extending throughout every moment of the day: the soundcheck, the wait before the live show, the backstage area, and the final performance.

The event was directed by Roberto Pili, with filming done with Alessandro Mundula. "A special thanks," the statement reads, "goes to the Sa Raighina association, which made this day possible by bringing Danno, DJ Craim, and Suarez to the Back2Roots Festival stage, contributing to a significant moment for hip hop culture in Sardinia."
