For one evening, the DoMusArt in Quartucciu became the home of Sardinian music, for the second edition of "Armonias in Beranu," a festival organized by the Is Concias Male Polyphonic Choir with the patronage of the Municipality. The evening was hosted by Massimo Carnevale, who described it as "an ever-growing journey." The performances featured four choirs from Seneghe, Villaputzu, and the two from Quartucciu, each performing four pieces.
The event organizers closed with the music of "Nanneddu Meu." "The greatest satisfaction is seeing this festival grow thanks to everyone's commitment and passion. I've found it a mature festival, where everyone has contributed," said Is Concias president Gianfranco Pischedda.
Between songs, many emphasized their desire for Sardinian singing and culture to be more present in schools.
"It's always a kind of surprise. They're wonderful moments of mutual understanding, exchange, and inspiration. The official motivation is the singing, but in reality it's a pretext to be together. A being together because we really want it, but we're seeing it less and less. We notice it after the show: a moment of socialization between realities and identities you didn't know, or didn't know well enough. It's the effect of music," commented the director of Monteferru (Seneghe), Nicola Piredda.
After the show, the Is Concias choir and the Pro Loco offered refreshments to those in attendance, including traditional Quartucciu sweets and Sardinian fregola pasta. True to the spirit of the evening.
