The wines of the Sant'Isidoro Rural District are the protagonists at Vinitaly in Verona.
The products of Quartu's winemaking will be on display with an off-salon event in the new venue of the master of contemporary pizza, Renato Bosco .
“Vini del Distretto & Pizza d'Autore” is the title of the event, scheduled for Monday, April 7, which features an innovative format: a wine tasting paired with signature pizzas, designed to enhance their aromas and characteristics by pizza researcher Renato Bosco. The Sardinian-Venetian evening will be accompanied by food journalist Giulia Salis, who will guide guests with a story about wine, territory and contemporary narration.
«But the real stars of the evening – explain the organizers – will be three wineries representing the District territory , different from each other in terms of history and production style: the Cantina di Quartu , a historic cooperative in the Cagliari hinterland and an authentic expression of local tradition, the Cantina Fraponti , a family-run business that combines craftsmanship and sustainability in the heart of Sardinia, and Mulleri Vini , a family-run winery in Quartucciu, specializing in natural and organic products, including Orange wines and sparkling wines».
"Through the Sant'Isidoro Rural District, of which the Municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena is an active part, a great initiative has been studied that for our production activities is also and above all an opportunity, a chance to gain visibility and attack the market - comments Rossana Perra, Councilor for Productive Activities and Enhancement of the Territory of the Municipality of Quartu -. The promotion of one's wines in an event related to Vinitaly becomes even more meritorious following the measures recently adopted by the President of the United States Donald Trump. To counter his trade war it is necessary to find alternative ways to carve out new spaces".
