Quartese students become "evangelizers" on the web, to promote the cultural offer in the city. Thanks to an experimental project proposed by the Municipal Department of Public Education in collaboration with the artistic direction of the MAGGMA Museum, partner of the initiative, the students of the ITC Levi institute will become "Art Promoter" for the first time on the occasion of the exhibition "Los Proverbios "dedicated to the great Spanish master Francisco Goya, on display in the former Capuchin Convent until January 31st.

THE PROJECT - Following an introductory lesson in the classroom, starting from 13 January the students will participate in an operational training in the Convent, retracing the stages of the exhibition and deepening the historical and artistic aspects useful for perfecting their knowledge, under the guidance by the artistic director of the exhibition, Walter Marchionni. At the end of this three-day course, students will acquire the skills of "Art Promoter" and will be able to pass on the knowledge acquired to the visitors of the exhibition, within special guided tours on weekends. In their role as "cultural evangelizers", with a young and immediate language, the children will be able to try their hand on the various social channels and within the innovative "Web Radio" project, already successfully active within the school, reaching large groups of peers throughout the city and performing the role of official promoter of culture in Quartu Sant'Elena in the most effective way.

VIRTUOUS PATH - "We have deliberately given a great deal of space to culture within the strategic recovery program drawn up by the Administration, with a package of very important initiatives that we believe to be an essential driving force with a view to relaunching, enhancing and overall growth of the city community, with particular regard to the younger sections of the population ", explains Mayor Graziano Milia. "With the exhibition on Goya, currently present in the city, Quartu officially enters the circuit of major regional events." "Our intent - specifies the mayor - is to trigger a virtuous path of growth and attraction of ideas, of energy and knowledge, making them available to our fellow citizens and especially to our young people. We thus want to give back to our city a central role in the metropolitan area, creating a context of vitality and change, capable of triggering a rebirth not only cultural, but also social and economic of our city ".

"We are delighted to experience a new and original synergy with city schools, in a path of mutual and common growth, which I am convinced will take us far", the words of Councilor Cinzia Carta. "The Administration is at the disposal of the children in the area to accompany them in their training and growth path, a precise and well-explained intent since the election campaign and subsequently taken on among the points of the program of our majority in the Municipality".

NEW MODEL - It is not just a question of school-work alternation, but a new "model of citizenship" proposed by the municipal administration in institutional synergy with the Marchionni Award Foundation and the Primo Levi Institute of Higher Education in Quartu Sant'Elena .

"This is just the beginning", states the councilor Carta, "we hope to gradually involve the other Quartese schools in a model of structural collaboration that may lead from time to time into alternation between school and work projects linked to culture, the environment, the territory, in harmony with the students' vocation to study and with the strategic guidelines of this administration ".
