Even before being an artist of undoubted talent, undisputed protagonist of the entertainment world after World War II, Raffaele Pisu was a curious man, distinguished by acute irony and genuine enthusiasm for life.

A life, artistic and daily, celebrated by " Raffaele Pisu Mattatori Brava Gente '' shows that from today until March 29th it will be viewable in Quartu Sant'Elena in the former Capuchin convent in via Brigata Sassari, after being inaugurated on November 25th last in Pesaro. An exhibition, conceived by Genoma Films of the brothers Paolo Rossi Pisu and Antonio Pisu with the artistic direction of Marta Miniucchi , which analyzes the seventy-year career of a multifaceted figure, capable of facing the many experiences both in the radio and theatrical, television, cinematographic but also pictorial. Among the most anticipated moments of the project, the presentation of the book written by the journalist Andrea Maioli ''Raffaele Pisu Mattatori Brava Gente'' published by the Minerva publishing house and the vision of the 1964 masterpiece by Giuseppe De Santis "Italiani brava gente'' in version restored, a film set during the Italian campaign against Russia in the second world war, where Pisu played the role of the soldier Libero Gabrielli.

« This exhibition comes from the heart of the Pisu family of which I joined in 2015 when I discovered that I was Raffaele's son», says his son Paolo Rossi Pisu. « Raffaele's wife , Leda Martellini showed me her archive full of material and I was deeply impressed». Material which, then, merged into an initiative that makes the trademark of the multiplicity of topics covered. « It is an all-round exhibition that focuses on both the man and the artist, also analyzing apparently new aspects such as painting». Inevitable, the deep bond with Sardinia being the family on the paternal side of Pisu originally from Guspini . « My father loved Sardinia and expressed the desire, shortly before he died in 2019 at the age of 94, to scatter his ashes in the Sardinian sea». An indissoluble bond from which a deep affection and awareness of the importance towards one's roots shines through.
