Quartu, a conference on immigration with bishop Baturi

On Friday at 9.30 am, in the Hall of Frescoes of the former Capuchin Convent in Quartu Sant'Elena (via Brigata Sassari 35) the World Refugee Day 2024 "Immigration between numbers, people and perspectives" will take place, organized - in scope of the SAI Project (Reception and Integration System) San Fulgenzio - by the diocesan Caritas of Cagliari and the Municipality of Quartu, in collaboration with the diocesan Migrants Office.
The initiative, promoted on the occasion of the Day established by the UN, will constitute a moment of reflection and awareness on the issues of human mobility and integration, and will give the opportunity to take stock of the reception and inclusion paths carried out in the territory local and regional.
The first part of the morning will see the introductory greetings of Graziano Milia , mayor of Quartu Sant'Elena, of Monsignor Giuseppe Baturi , archbishop of Cagliari, of Emmanuela Usai , deputy prefect of Cagliari, of Giuseppe Frau , vice-president of the Regional Council of Sardinia, of Enzo Floridia , president of the Territorial Commission for the recognition of international protection of the Prefecture of Cagliari, of Marco Camboni , councilor for social policies of the Municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena, of Enrico Porru , director of the diocesan Migrants Office, of Don Alfredo Fadda parish priest of the Basilica of Sant'Elena Imperatrice in Quartu Sant'Elena; the director of the diocesan Caritas Don Marco Lai will moderate.
The second part will see the interventions of Manuela De Marco (Caritas Italiana) on "Immigration, data and ideas for an integral reflection", by Simone Varisco (Migrantes Foundation) on "Immigration is culture"; in the third and final part "comparison testimonies" will be attended by Lorena Cordeddu , director of social services of the Municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena, Gabriella Serra, coordinator of the SAI San Fulgenzio project, and some guests of the same project; Maria Chiara Cugusi , Caritas communication contact, will moderate.
