Nineteen members—both from the majority and the opposition—remain in the Council, with nine newcomers, including both returning and new faces in local politics. The new Quartu City Council, headed by Graziano Milia—confirmed as mayor with 60.88 percent of the vote —is taking shape following the first-round elections.
The majority vote-getter was outgoing councilor Tonio Pani, a member of the Civic Pole and a candidate on the list that also included the Quartu bases of the Five Star Movement and the United for Todde movement: he received 1,223 votes , earning him the record for most votes. He carried no party symbols, just like the other civic lists in the coalition supporting the outgoing mayor. His longtime political partner, Romina Angius, also achieved a success, with 1,168 votes.

Alessio Casanova also moves to the same list. Mayor Milia's list received the most votes, with eight councilors elected: a success for Valeria Piras and Stefano Busonera, outgoing councilors who practically doubled their votes compared to the 2020 local elections. Mauro Ligas and outgoing Council President Rita Murgioni also performed well. Among those elected are Massimo Pau, Cinzia Carta, councilor from the previous administration, Elisa Usalla (her husband Franco Tocco, however, remains out despite 449 votes), and Francesco Piludu. Barbara Cadoni, a member of the Democratic Party, is also eligible, as are Sardinian Christian Stevelli, the current president of the Molentargius park , Stefano Secci, Cenzo Naitana, and Marina Del Zompo.
The Flumini movement will be represented only by the outgoing Mauro Carreras, while the socialist list, Avanti, remains out of the running, despite the good result of Marcella Marini, who received 346 votes.
The center-right gained ten seats in the Council, including that of the defeated mayoral candidate, Marco Porcu. Martino Sarritzu of Sardinia al Centro 2020 was the coalition's most popular candidate, with 1,206 votes, followed by Dino Cocco , who returned to the City Council with 962 votes, and 419 for Tonino Lobina. Brothers of Italy (Fratelli d'Italia) received four councilors: Lucio Torru in the lead, along with Michele Pisano, Livia Boi —a former councilor in the Contini administration—and newcomer Laura Cavagnoli. Forza Italia made a strong return to the Council, represented by Sandro Lai —well-known in the city—and the Reformists with Francesco Caredda. Flops for the League and the civic group Futura, both of which were left without seats.
Completing the municipal political spectrum is Roberto Matta , aka Roby, who has secured a seat in the minority. The mayoral candidate supported by the Tourism and Progress civic group received 1,325 votes, while his list received fewer—1,081 preferences—still sufficient to secure representation in City Hall.
