Of the five provinces of Sardinia, only that of Cagliari is present in the top 30 of the "most livable territories" in Italy drawn up by the Sole 24 Ore.

The authoritative economic newspaper today released the results of the 34th edition of the survey on the quality of life in Italy, where the province of Udine stands out at the top of the ranking, followed on the podium by those of Bologna and Trento.

Sardinia - Looking at the island, in the general ranking of the well-being of the Italian population Cagliari comes in 23rd place (but loses 5 positions compared to the previous year), while the other provinces are much further behind. In detail: 93rd place for Southern Sardinia (-6 positions), 65th place for Oristano (+5), 67th for Nuoro (+7) and 77th place for Sassari (-8).

Environment and safety, good Oristano - If you take the detail into consideration, however, there is no shortage of positive surprises: Cagliari, for example, is in fifth place (out of 107) in the "Business and work" section and 19th in the "Demographics" section and society".

Again: Oristano shines in the "Environment and services" and "Justice and security" categories, placing second in both rankings.

Bringing up the rear - On the other hand, in the "Demography and society" category, four out of five Sardinian provinces are in the very last positions: Sassari occupies 95th place, Nuoro 100th, Oristano 106th and Southern Sardinia 107th.

Cagliari “exception” – Returning to the general ranking, «this edition too – underlines the Il Sole investigation – photographs a concentration of the South in the second half of the ranking, with the only exception of Cagliari which comes in 23rd place . But there is no shortage of news. First of all the return of Foggia, 107th, to wear the black jersey after twelve years (it had been last in 2011 and 2002). Nine provinces from the Center or North have slipped into the last 40 positions, three more than last year: in addition to Latina (87th), Frosinone (80th), Imperia (81st), Alessandria (70th) and Rovigo (68th), there are Grosseto (74th), Viterbo (75th), Rieti (73rd) and Massa Carrara (72nd). Agrigento, Southern Sardinia , Palermo, Brindisi, Trapani lose ground. Also among the last five ranked are Syracuse (104th, losing 14 positions) and Naples (105th, 7 positions less).
